Banned Books
Banned Books is a campaign by Lush Cosmetics highlighting the growing threat to children's books that feature queer communities, minority groups, and inclusive content. This campaign celebrates the queer community while championing the belief that knowledge is power and that, above all, we are united by our shared humanity.
THE BRIEF
The brief was to produce a video featuring a drag queen reading an inclusive children's story directly to the camera. Additionally, the campaign required the development of a visual identity that was both eye-catching and reflective of its inclusive message. As the project evolved, its scope expanded to address the broader issue of attacks on inclusive literature and the banning of books.
THE SOLUTION
As a creative team, we developed a visual identity that captures the positivity, vibrancy, and energy of the drag queens and the inclusive stories they bring to life.
